After a horrendous football season and head coaching change, Louisville University could see multiple transfers this off-season. One particular transfer could greatly contribute to the Florida roster.
Reports indicate that Louisville’s OLB/DE Jonathan Greenard has now entered the transfer portal, which is the first step in the transfer process. Rumors emerged weeks ago suggesting that Greenard would transfer to Florida, however nothing was announced officially.
Out of high school, Jonathan Greenard was recruited heavily by current Florida defensive coordinator Todd Grantham. This transfer addition would help fortify defensive line needs that Florida will surely have in 2019, following the departure of Jachai Polite and other key players.
After missing nearly all of this season with an injury and wearing a redshirt in 2015, it would seem that Greenard would have up to two years of eligibility left. When healthy, he has been among the national leaders in tackles for a loss.
