It’s fair to say that Jeff Driskel was dealt a tough hand throughout his career at Florida.
As a five-star high school prospect, Driskel was widely regarded as the best quarterback in the country during his recruitment process. Those lofty expectations, coupled with a floundering Will Muschamp offense, proved disastrous for the young quarterback.
Unfortunately, Driskel shouldered a ton of blame for his poor play while he probably never had proper development at Florida. With the benefit of hindsight, the offensive struggles of that era weren’t nearly all of Driskel’s fault .
Driskel has earned a career in the NFL as a backup quarterback since 2016 and currently plays for the Cincinnati Bengals. Most recently, Jeff came off the bench to provide a spark against the Cleveland Browns, as his team struggled offensively.
